One of my favorite things about elopements is that there are no rules. Your day does not have to revolve around a timeline packed with traditions. It can be slow. Meaningful. Personal. So I wanted to share some activities to include in your elopement day!

When couples start planning their intimate wedding, they often focus on the ceremony itself. And yes, that part matters. But some of the most memorable moments happen in between.

When you're thinking about activities to include on your elopement day, start with the things you genuinely love doing together.

The goal is not to perform for anyone. It's to create a day that feels like you.

Make Space for Your Favorite Things

Your elopement is more than a ceremony. It's an experience.

Think about the places you naturally gravitate toward on a regular weekend. Maybe it's your favorite coffee shop. Maybe it's a quiet bookstore where you always lose track of time together. Those little pieces of your relationship deserve a place in your wedding day.

The best elopements feel relaxed because they're built around real moments.

  • Grab coffee at your favorite local shop

  • Go kayaking together

  • Wander through a bookstore

  • Plan a picnic in a beautiful spot

  • Visit a museum you love

  • Stop by a record store and pick out a new album

  • Go hiking and explore somewhere new

  • Stay at a vintage motel for the night

  • End the night dancing together

None of these moments need to be elaborate. They just need to feel honest to who you are & what you love.

Create a Day That Feels Like You

At the end of the day, your wedding doesn't need to look like anyone else's. It only needs to reflect your relationship.

Whether that means hiking at sunrise, browsing a record store, or ending the night with cocktails and a private dinner, every choice can be intentional.

When you're planning activities to Include on your elopement day, choose the things that make you feel connected. Those are the moments you'll remember years from now. Those are the moments that tell your story.
