Hi. I'm Shaye, and I'm grateful for the honor to capture the most important love stories.
I didn't set out to be a wedding photographer.
Weddings always seemed too formal, too much emphasis spent on the least important aspects. I didn’t really get it. But after photographing my first wedding for a friend, I realized how incredible it felt to tell the whole story of the day — start to finish — the connection, the significance of the vows, the whole love story, and preserve moments that would be cherished for a lifetime. Thirteen years and 300+ weddings later, I’m still in love with it.
What you can expect from me:
-
Help from the very beginning of the planning process and every step of the way
-
A calm presence, even when things don’t go as planned
-
A mix of relaxed portraits and real, candid moments
-
Sneak peeks within 24 hours
-
Your full gallery in 3 weeks
-
One-on-one communication from start to finish
Why I do this:
I believe our entire purpose of being here is to give and receive love — and documenting it is the most important work I can do. My goal is for you to feel seen, comfortable, and completely yourself in front of my camera. No stiff poses. No pressure. Just your story, honestly told.
We'd be a good fit if...
If you’re planning an elopement or micro wedding in Florida (or anywhere else) and you want a relaxed, intentional day with space to be yourselves, we’ll get along perfectly. I work best with couples who value connection over tradition, love the beauty in small moments, and want their wedding to reflect who they truly are.
My favorite things about Florida:
-
The heat and humidity. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me.
-
The landscape. I love our beaches. I love our springs. I love our parks. I love our fields. I love it all.
-
The wildlife. We have so many critters, and they're all so beautiful.
-
The people. The people in Florida are from all over the country and the world, and people from all over visit here. Florida man gets a bad rap, and he's here, but so is everyone else. :) I love it.
My least favorite things about Florida:
-
The traffic
-
The crowds
-
The politics
